nothing is more exciting in an Ace Attorney game than getting a character on the stand to make a new expression.

I’m gonna depress the hell out of all of you. ready? ok go

so, that “stop devaluing feminized work post”

nice idea and all

but the thing is, as soon as a decent number of women enter any field, it becomes “feminized,” and it becomes devalued.

as women…

I need to ask a misinterpretable question, so bear with me here.

Did each profession become devalued and less prestigious because women that entered it were women or because when women entered it, people noticed that it’s not actually as hard to enter it as men made it out, the workforce became less scarce and basic supply and demand curves drove the pay and the prestige of “it’s tough to get here” down?
It’s what happened in the finance-related professions in the nineties in Russia, for example, and that field has been more or less gender-equal since before the Russian Empire fell.

Correlation does not equal causation, just sayin’. The Soviet Union did have a few gender-exclusive professions, but it generally is a good litmus test on whether a profession can be sexist, as it did have male kindergarten teachers, female factory workers, male and female accountants (the stereotypes for this profession vary from continent to continent, but it’s female-dominated here nowadays), and so on.

Pick a Soviet movie at random, and it will have at least one major female character in a profession the West has traditionally considered male, and not because of quotas, but because it was commonplace. (That said, some movies do use the “it’s not a woman’s place” as a plot device for some of them, but the heroine usually proves the naysayers wrong).

can straight girls please stop shitting their pants over being mistaken for lesbians or being called lesbians as an insult?

when someone tries to insult you by calling you a lesbian, they’re a homophobe. if you actually find it insulting to be called a lesbian, you’re a homophobe too. this is not a difficult concept to grasp.

While we’re at it, stop getting angry when we ask you not to call your best friend your “wife”, because that’s pretty homophobic too.

Ah, so that’s why it irks me when I hear them do it. Thanks for putting it into words.

isn’t it cool how some phobias are unquestioned and considered “normal”, like fear of heights or spiders, but mention that you have social anxiety or a fear of driving and people immediately jump to “why? what’s so scary about that? that makes no sense??????” and by it’s cool i mean it’s really fucked up because all phobias are irrational it doesn’t need an explaination that’s what makes it a pHOBIA

amazing that there are living humans out there who have chosen to label other groups of people “justice warriors” and align themselves as directly opposed to them. opposed to justice. look in the mirror. tell yourself “i hate justice”. do you feel like a batman villain yet.

I’ve been playing this game since Update 6, that’s almost two years. I’ve only just gotten an Excalibur.
In other news, I’ve finally crafted a Sybaris, and I’m loving every double-shot magical moment of it.

We’ve done our share of waiting. Devil Survivor 2: Break Record has finally been announced to come out January 29th, 2015 for 3DS in Japan!

Now just hope it won’t take the three years it took for DS Overclocked to get to Europe. Or for the DS version of Devil Survivor 2.
